Do you customize keynotes for each customer?

 

Before you go and rewrite your keynote for the nth time for another customer, I’d like to let you in on a little secret that I call: The 2% Rule

 

If you are a speaker that talks to businesses, you will often find that businesses tell you: “There is no one else like us, our industry is unique.” However, what I have found is that there’s very little difference between businesses.

 

You need to consider that even though a business belongs to a unique industry, they’ll have the same customers as other industries. Their customers can overlap no matter how vastly different they are from other businesses. Many of the stuff that goes on behind the scenes: business policies, laws, the way we get our words out there, the way we attract customers, many of these things are the same.

 

So, if you are customizing keynotes for your customer, you don’t have to change the whole thing. The essence of your expertise will remain the same and you’ll only need to change 2%. Watch the video to learn more about this Speaking Industry Secret:
